What are Galacais Dragons?

The Basics 
Galacais Dragons are an ancient species that once dominated the realm known as Icarusian. Known to be massive creatures, on average anywhere between 12'5 to 25'5 in height, though much larger individuals are claimed to have been seen. The maximum height is actually 50'5, though such a size is rarely seen. Galacais Dragons have the same goopy tails and many of the identifiable traits that their descendant species possess, though with much less different kinds. They all have a single central eye, with two to four more eyes on each side of their heads, rarely eight, and always open and glowing. Galacais Dragons do not have pupils. 
They also always have six to twelve legs, and are often quite long due to this. Galacais have massive wings that stream out clouds of space dust, and always have at least two colours on their dark fur that can glow - Their patterns always resemble space objects such as nebulae, star systems, galaxies, and other such things. 
Galacais Dragons, like their modern descendants, do not have genders and lack any reproductive organs or gender-defining features like breasts. They too will also take on gender identities, however. 
 
Magic 
Galacais Dragons are an extremely powerful species that can safely handle ancient magic. They use a raw, primal form of magic, unlike Boba Dragons. Galacais are also capable of opening portals to other worlds and universes at will, and can travel with ease through space thanks to their powerful wings and ability to recycle their own used magic energy. 
 
General Personalities 
These massive beasts are known to be serious and reserved. Mistaken as deities by many an ancient civilization, they would often travel entire universes in a quest for more knowledge. Those who have recently surfaced do not understand the carefree nature of their modern counterparts, though newer generations are seemingly beginning to embrace the trademark friendliness and curiosity of the Boba Dragons. 
 
History 
Largely a work in progress right now. 
However, a millennia ago, an as of yet unknown event occurred that resulted in the Galacais Dragons being imprisoned in hidden places ranging from caves to the depths of seas and volcanoes. And recently, they have been rediscovered and released...

Reproduction 
As with Boba Dragons, Galacais Dragons cannot truly breed. There are always two Galacais Dragons at any given time that have the power to, like the Ancient One, fuse the physical clumps of magic (the dragon's boba from its tail) to form an egg. These dragons with the ability to fuse boba are referred to as Broodmasters. 
 
Growth 
As Galacais develop, they are left with one of the Broodmasters, who watches over them from egg to young adult, which takes approximately 12 months. Unlike Boba Dragons, they hatch with all their traits visible.
